"Santa Barbara" the twelfth piece in my Highway 1 Series of original, hand-printed serigraphs. It's impossible to travel the California coast and ignore the Missions along the route, and the Santa Barbara Mission is known as the "Queen of the Missions" for good reason. I used nine colors in this piece and tried to capture the architectural beauty of the mission, as well as the amazing colors that occur every evening in Santa Barbara. I can't think of anywhere else I've been where everything turns pink and purple each afternoon - and it never ceases to amaze me. ~ Jake
