"Seeing the giant redwoods for the first time is one of those special moments that sticks with you forever. I was about 5 the first time I saw them, and I'll certainly never forget it. I had been told we were going to see some big trees, but when you're 5 all trees are big. I remember thinking in the car ride north that these 'extra big' trees would probably be a little more difficult to climb. Needless to say, I was stunned- and I certainly wasn't climbing them. That first trip left an indelible impression, and I've enjoyed going back often over the years. The trees are truly breathtaking; there is a richness in the smells and the colors and air of the forest that combine to make everything seem a bit mysterious and a little different than anywhere else I've ever been. There are 11 hand-pulled colors in the 'Redwoods' print and required over 2,750 impressions to complete." ~Jake
