"I had been to plenty of lighthouses along the west coast growing up, but none of them got my imagination going like the Point Bonita Lighthouse. I first visited during a sixth grade field trip to San Francisco. I admit, I wasn't too excited to get off the bus to hike down a steep road in the cold to see another lighthouse- but everything changed immediately after walking through the tunnel that leads to it. We were surrounded by fog out on those cold rocks, just above heavy, thunderous surf, and had to cross two at a time the (seemingly) flimsy wooden bridge that seemed to take you to the very end of the earth. It was absolutely thrilling. In an instant, I understood why lighthouses were so important and have been fascinating ever since. 'Point Bonita' is a 9 color print and required over 2,200 hand-pulled color impressions to complete." ~Jake
