ABOUT CHICO VELO CYCLING CLUB: For many years, Chico Velo was a group of loose knit riders until we officially formed in 1980. Our first century ride was on a rainy day in 1981 with 100 riders. Today, the Chico Wildflower Century attracts over 3,800 riders and is still growing! We've recently added the Chico Fallflower Century to our annual Century Series.

OUR COMMITMENT TO THE COMMUNITY: We are very proud of the efforts between the club and the city, earning the nation's Most Bicycle Friendly City from Bicycling magazine in 1997. We maintain our designation as a Bronze Bicycle Friendly Community and continue to reach for Platinum status. Join our efforts to improve the five E's (Engineering, Education, Encouragement, Enforcement, and Evaluation & Planning) in Chico by contributing to the Chico Velo Foundation, established to fund local bike-related projects and activities. ~ Chico Velo Cycling Club
