I've had a fascination with radio for as long as I can remember. I love to listen to radio from all over the world and am always amazed it's even possible. For the past 20 years, I've been a dedicated NPR listener, and now more than ever feel it's critical to support public radio. It's an honor for me to get to help KCHO and hope this print helps. This is an 11 color image (2 metallic inks) and is the first time I've tried to print a "blend." I mixed 3 different shades of blue ink and printed all 3 inks at the same time, allowing them to blend and flow into each other to create the effect of "sky." It was definitely tricky to pull off, but I'm thrilled with the results and it's among the best colors I've ever printed. It's also interesting because the result is different in every single print - so no two prints are identical. Mt. Shasta is famous for it's lenticular clouds that occur, and many of my prints mimic those unusual clouds. I'm really excited about this piece. ~ Jake
